We exist to reach, teach, and send
with love.
Our church is a part of what has been called the Restoration Movement, which began in this country in the early 1800s. We are a group of independent (locally autonomous) Christian Churches.
Our goal is to promote unity in the Body of Jesus by "restoring" the Bible as our only rule of faith, doctrine, and practice. We are committed to reconciling individuals and the church body to God (2 Corinthians 5.18) and equipping each member “for every good work" (2 Timothy 3.16).
What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Bible (Old and New Testament) is the infallible Word of God. It is our only rule of faith and practice. We have no other creed or doctrine. We believe the 66 books are "...inspired by God and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in all that is right," (2 Timothy 3.16).
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the indwelling presence of God which marks us as followers of Jesus, “Christians,” (2 Corinthians 1.22). He – The Spirit – is given as a gift to all who turn away from sin and are immersed (Acts 2.38). He empowers us to do good works of service and He makes our lives what God intends for them to be (1 Corinthians 12.4-11).
The Church
Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to evangelize the lost and edify the saved (Ephesians 4:1-16)
God
We believe God is eternal. He existed before our physical universe. Nothing made God. He has always existed and always will. Genesis 1 tells us that God created the sun, moon, stars, planets, galaxies, our world and everything in and around them. He created humankind in His image to enjoy fellowship with Himself for all eternity. We also believe that the God depicted in the Bible is "the only true God" (John 17.3).
Man
That every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
Christ’s Return
Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 21:1-4)
Jesus
We believe that Jesus is The Chosen One of God, Son of the living God (Matthew 16.16). He is God, in the flesh, who has come from heaven to redeem humankind (John 1.1, 1.14 and 3.16). He is the “Messiah” of the Old Testament, the Savior of the world, who died on a cross to save us from sin and its penalty. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14.6).
Salvation
We believe a person is saved by God's grace – no one can earn God's salvation (Ephesians 2.8).
In receiving this gift of grace, an individual will: believe and accept Jesus as Lord, repent of their sin, publicly profess their faith, and be immersed in water in the name of Jesus (Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38)
